पिँजराबाट छुटेको शुगा
(१)
हाय ! म हूँ त्यै द्विज शुकनामा
बन्द थिएँ जो उस पिँजरामा
विधिवश अहिले उम्केँ बल्ल
किन्तु परेको छू असरल्ल
(२)
बढदो चढदो वय पञ्चरमा
म सकल बिताएँ कष्ट-कहरमा
यस हालतमा बाहिर आई
कसरी मैले जिउने ? हाई !!

त्यो पिँजरामा पहिले पस्ता
उकुस-मुकुस भै रोई बस्ता
जो जति भोगेँ सङ्कट-बाधा ।
